Welcome to the Rotary Club of Franklin, MA web site. The Franklin Rotary Club is proud to be serving the local community for the past 83 years. We invite you to learn more about the Franklin Rotary Club and urge you to contact any of the club membership.
The Franklin Rotary Club is associated with Rotary International (RI) which was founded in 1905. Rotary clubs exist to improve communities through a range of humanitarian, intercultural, and education activities. Rotary clubs address critical issues at home and abroad by providing health care and medical supplies, clean water, food, job training, youth development, and education to millions of people in need. There are over 31,000 Rotary Clubs in 167 countries with over 1.2 million members.
Examples of the Franklin Rotary Club’s local activities are: habitat for humanity, reading is fundamental, educational grants to area high school seniors, organizers of annual Memorial Day Parade, and support to the Franklin Public Library, Franklin Food Pantry, senior center, YMCA, and Boy Scouts of America. Examples of international activities include: polio eradication, medical help to underprivileged children, and wheelchair / ambulance donations to underdeveloped countries.
Local and international projects are funded through our membership, contributions received through the club’s fund raising activities, and matching grants from RI or participation with other Rotary Clubs.
The membership of the Franklin Rotary Club are men and women who represent business leaders, civil servants, retirees, and local individuals who are committed to giving back to the community and beyond. I would encourage you to my or any members’ guest for one of our weekly meetings. The Franklin Rotary Club has a dinner meeting weekly at 3 Restaurant, 461 W Central Street (Rte 140), Franklin at 6:00PM.
I hope to see you next week
